Not a Stitching Post, but...

a proud Momma post.
My poor laptop is still clinging to a thread, I haven't been able to bring myself to pay $300 to get the hard drive replaced, so I have done a backup, and just keep using it.  So, I think I will start posting again, have been trying to use the laptop as little as I can get away with, but I'm either going to have to pay a lot to fix or replace, so why not just keep on using it?
Sorry to stray...as for me being a proud parent...my oldest had her third graduation in 5 years last Friday.  She graduated from Virginia Tech last May, (2010), and went on to earn her Master's in a year's time!
Here are a few snapshots from the day.  I feel very bad, though, we never stopped to pose for a family photo. :(
In this shot, Meredith is just coming out of the tunnel, and onto the coliseum floor.
Here, she has just received her "pseudo-diploma" from VT President Charles Steger.  They will mail the "real" diploma.
This is Meredith with her boyfriend Ryan.  He is a former Tech football player, and is also in grad school, has one more year.
The back of her gown, showing the beautiful hood.
Cake for Meredith and her roommate and best friend Rachel, who also graduated.

My 3 kids under a canopy in the pouring rain!
Hunter standing beside my old dorm room window...my husband and I went to Virginia Tech as well, that's where we met!
My girls!

Thanks for checking in!  Will be back soon!

Congratulations to you and to Meredith!! What a huge accomplishment.

My apologies if this shows up twice--I keep getting a 'service 503' error message.

Cindy,
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I love it when I can link back and personally see someone else's blog. I did hang my Village..over my desk. It is the most perfect spot, though I had not even thought about putting it there. Perfect place to stare at it when I should be working. lol!
Congrats to your daughter! That is so neat that she went to the same college as you and your husband.
Sorry to hear about your lap top. Too expensive to get them fixed. I don't know how I could do without it, though.
